MA7: Tissint / Tghit Canyon
After sleeping in and enjoying a calm day (the young folks call it “chilling”) at Bou Rbia we made our way further West. We had found a couple of great spots to camp on Park4Night near Tissint.
First, however, we needed to fill up on water and used a well next to a Mosque. It’s fantastic that they let you fill up for free!
The campsite was next to a canyon. We are not sure when there was water last, but a couple of hundred meters further it was still carrying small amounts of water and as one would expect palm trees were flourishing making it look like a true oasis.
We weren’t alone and quickly got talking to a fellow German traveller who let us know that there was an easy way to get down into the canyon and up again on the other side.
So, we wandered off and took some photos of Wilma from the other side. It was a nice little walk and felt a bit as if we were on Mars!
At night I made another attempt at star trail photography and this time around the result was acceptable – so I dare to share it here.
We had a fantastic, quiet night and considered staying longer, but had set our sights on a new destination that we wanted to reach before the end of the weekend …
